N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (Gasunie) and Koninklijke Vopak N.V. (Vopak) have agreed with Essent N.V. to further develop the Eemshaven LNG project.

N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (Gasunie) and Koninklijke Vopak N.V. (Vopak), strategic partners in Gate terminal, today announce that the final investment decision has been taken to construct a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) import terminal in Rotterdam.

Vopak has reached agreement with its partners in the Pakterminal joint venture to buy the remaining 50% of the shares. The transfer of shares will take place before year-end 2007.

Vopak today announces that it has successfully closed a new EUR 1 billion senior unsecured multicurrency revolving credit facility with a banking syndicate of 12 international relationship banks.

Gate terminal has selected a Consortium of Techint, Sener, Entrepose and Vinci, an experienced combination of Italian, Spanish, and French companies, as the main contractor to execute the engineering, procurement and construction activities in relation to the planned LNG receiving and regasification terminal at the Maasvlakte (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) location.

Royal Vopak announces it has reached an agreement with the Puma Group to acquire a recently built terminal in Suape (Recife), one of the fastest growing ports of Brazil.

On the 30th of May some 500 guests witnessed Vopak launching the countdown towards the commissioning of the new Vopak Terminal Linkeroever at a "one year to go" party. This new terminal with state of the art technology will start operations on 30 May 2008.

Koninklijke Vopak N.V. (Royal Vopak) will issue a new USD 375 million senior unsecured Notes Program ('Notes') in the US Private Placement market. In this new issue twenty-six institutional investors are participating. The proceeds, of which USD 275 million are expected to be made available in June and the remaining USD 100 million in December 2007, will be used to fund the Growth Strategy of Vopak.

Continued strong demand for storage services. 127,200 cbm additional capacity commissioned worldwide. New projects announced for Singapore; Vopak to add more than 2.0 million cbm to global storage capacity over next few years. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Vopak expects Group operating profit excluding exceptional items to increase by 15% to 20% in 2007 (2006: EUR 220.9 million)

Gate terminal B.V. and Port of Rotterdam agree on long term lease of 23 ha. Shell Energy Europe B.V. signed a Heads of Agreement with Gate terminal B.V. The European Commission agrees to the exemption granted by the Dutch government.

The Vopak London storage facility stores various products and services clients involved in the supply of petrol to retail stations in this area.
